Egypt Gold Price (“we”, “the Service”) is a free, informational tracker for live gold and silver prices in the Egyptian market. This page explains, in plain language, what we do and do not do with data.
We do not run an account system. We do not sell, share, or rent any personal data. The Service is funded by advertising, so third-party ad vendors — Google and its certified partners — may set cookies or read device identifiers on advertising pages, subject to the consent choice you make in the consent message Google presents, which is served by a Google-certified consent management platform rather than by us.
There is no sign-up, no login, and no profile. We do not ask for your name, email, phone, national ID, address, or any identifier in order to use the Service. The only exception is information you voluntarily submit through our contact form — name, email and message — which is processed only to reply to you and is not used for marketing.
To make the site usable, your browser may keep three small items in localStorage on your device only: your theme choice (light/dark), a timestamp recording that you dismissed the install prompt so we do not show it again, and a short-lived cache of the news headlines list. Calculator inputs are held in memory while the page is open and are never written to storage. Language is not stored — each language is its own URL. This data never leaves your device and you can clear it any time from your browser settings.
Live prices are fetched anonymously from our managed backend. Requests are not tied to a user account, because there are no user accounts. Calculator inputs are computed in your browser and are never sent to our backend, so there is nothing for us to log.
Our infrastructure may keep short-lived technical logs (HTTP status codes, request paths, approximate request volume) for uptime monitoring and abuse / rate-limit protection. These logs are not used to build user profiles and are not shared with third parties beyond what is strictly required to run the Service.
The Service itself does not require marketing cookies to function; the price tables, calculators and articles work without them.
We display advertising through Google AdSense. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies and similar technologies to serve ads on this site, including the DoubleClick DART cookie, and may use them to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time in Google Ads Settings, and you can opt out of third-party vendor cookies more broadly at aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.eu. More detail on how Google uses data from sites that use its services is available in Google's privacy & terms.
If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, a Google-certified consent management platform asks for your consent before any personalised advertising or measurement cookie is set, and lets you change or withdraw that choice later. We never sell personal data.
The Service is general-audience financial information. It is not directed at children under 13. If a guardian believes a child has submitted personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the latest version. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage for a reasonable period.
